Tuesday is my work-from-home day so that also mean pork roll for breakfast. I have a lot of leftovers from Cinco de Mayo so I figured I’d put that to use as well.

Saturday morning brought me the venerable Asbury Park institution known as Frank’s. Frank’s has been around for over 50 years so they know what they’re doing. Serving up big breakfast sandwiches and full breakfasts to the locals at a fair price. Guess what I ordered?
It’s 2012! It’s a different world from when our fathers grew up. Our pork roll pac men can hang out in the fry pan and do whatever comes natural, right? I guess it depends on whose kitchen they are in.
Not for the faint of heart! This morning’s pork roll dee-lite was Taylor pork roll and sharp cheddar on an english muffin topped with…WASABI SAUCE???!!! Yes, that’s right folks, in all its artificially green goodness (with a nod to Yellow 5 and Blue 1).
